My name is Mary, a professional food photographer and videographer based in Santa Monica, California.
I started out as a showrunner before i switched gears to pursue food photography. And I love it!
I think it’s fascinating that most people who buy cookbooks never cook from them. They are buying a fantasy.
My work is about creating that fantasy.
I spent years producing/directing for NBC, ABC, Fox, MTV, etc. It was fast-paced, unpredictable, and never boring - long days, impossible deadlines, and solving problems on the fly.
That experience shaped how I see everything. I don’t just shoot food—I direct the scene. Light, color, movement—it all has to work together. Maybe that’s the TV in me. Or maybe it’s just how my brain works.
Clients
I’ve worked with brands like Boar’s Head, Harney & Sons, Olli Salumeria, Runamok Maple, and Field Roast. Sometimes that means rebranding a company’s entire visual identity. Other times, it’s months of video content for social campaigns, or a single shot that becomes a national ad.
The scale changes, but my approach never does—details matter.
